Do you have enough Skype Credit? |
You need to have enough Skype Credit to make a call
to your destination lasting at least one minute. We
recommend you check your Skype Credit balance before
each call, either in Skype, or by signing
in to your account. You can also check out our
rates page to see how much
your call will cost per minute. If you have insufficient
Skype Credit, you’ll need to buy
some before making the call.
|
Does your subscription cover the call you want to make? |
If you have a subscription, but your call won’t connect, it’s likely
that you are trying to call a number or destination
not covered by your subscription. Check these
reasons why your call will not connect with a
subscription.
|
Have you dialled a valid number? |
Check that you have dialled the number correctly. Remember to select the country from the drop-down, or enter a “+” and then the country code plus the number you want to call.
|
Does Skype support the number you dialled? |
Unfortunately Skype does not support calls to all number ranges in every country. There are certain premium-priced or geographic/country specific numbers which are forbidden and cannot be reached using Skype.
|
Is it just one specific number you can’t call? |
Due to fluctuations in the public switched telephone network (PTSN) we cannot always guarantee the quality or reliability of calls made from Skype. Such issues are usually temporary, so if you have problems calling a specific number, we suggest trying again later. If the problem persists, please report this, stating the destination and your Skype Name, to Skype Customer Service.
