The cost of sending a text from Skype varies according to the country you’re sending it to.

Check text message rates to all destinations. To view rates in a different currency, just select the currency from the View all rates drop-down.

You can also check the cost of sending a text from within Skype. It's displayed at the top right of the message box before you send a text:

Skype doesn’t charge the recipient of a text sent by someone using Skype. However, standard message and data rates may apply, and these messages may count towards any messaging limit set according to your mobile plan. Check with your mobile provider for further information.
