It’s easy to forward incoming calls to a phone or mobile. All
you need is some Skype Credit
or a calling subscription.
Forwarding incoming calls to another Skype contact
is free.
Once you've set up call forwarding, your incoming calls will be forwarded even when you are not signed in to Skype. To set up call forwarding:
- Sign in to Skype.
- In the menu bar, click Skype > Preferences... and then select Calls to display the Call panel.
- In the Incoming Calls section, select Forward Calls, and then click Set up Forwarding.
- In the Set up Forwarding window:
- Enter the number of seconds to wait before calls are forwarded.
- Enter up to three Skype Names or phone numbers in
order of preference to forward calls to. Make sure that
you enter the Skype Name correctly. Note that you can’t
forward calls to a person who hasn’t accepted your contact
request.
- Click Done to set up call forwarding.
Please note that:
- If you set up call forwarding and have also set up voicemail,
incoming calls will first be forwarded to the number(s)
you have entered, and if there is no response the call
will then be sent to voicemail.
- If you have set up call forwarding to forward calls to another Skype contact, and that contact is offline, incoming calls will not be forwarded. Instead, callers will hear a message that the contact is offline (or they will be sent to the voicemail of that contact, if it has been set up).
Call forwarding is available at no extra cost with a subscription,
or for a small charge per minute using Skype
Credit. If you make a Skype-to-Skype call to someone
who has call forwarding, you won’t pay anything when your
call is forwarded. If you set up call forwarding but it
does not work as expected, these
tips can help to fix your problem.
