When you create a Skype account you are asked to provide an email address. This is known as your registered email address and is the one you will need if you want to reset your password.

You should change your registered email address if you no longer use the one you provided when you set up your account.

You can also add other email addresses to your profile – this can be useful if you want to add business and personal addresses, and it makes it easier for your friends and contacts who know your email address to find you on Skype.

These other email addresses are known as profile email addresses. They cannot be used to reset your password should you forget it.

No one can see either your registered email address or your profile email addresses when looking at your profile.
