Problem |
Resolution |
Some people on the call can’t send or receive video. |
If you are on a group video call but are not using Skype 5.0 or higher, you will be unable to send or receive video (although you will be able to send and receive audio).
To resolve this problem, make sure that everyone on the call is
using the latest version
of Skype.
|
When more than 10 people join the call, video disappears. |
If there are more than 10 people on a call, the call will be converted to audio only. To bring back video, you must have 10 or fewer people on the call. The easiest way to do this is to remove the extra people from the group. Simply right-click the person you want to remove and select Remove person from this group.

My video freezes during a group video call. |
Check that you have enough
bandwidth to make a group video call, and close
all applications that may be using your bandwidth
or slowing your computer down. For example, music
streaming applications such as Spotify, or file-sharing
applications such as iTunes.

After four hours, the call drops. |
A group video call lasts a maximum of four hours. After this time, the group video call will be changed to a voice call.
To continue the group video call, you will need to restart the call.
