SpinVox converts your voicemail messages* to text format and then sends them to your mobile phone via text message for a small fee.
To sign up for SpinVox voicemail alerts:
- Sign in to your account and click the Voicemail tab.
- Below Voicemail alert options, click verify your phone number.

- Click Learn more about SpinVox. Some information about the SpinVox service is displayed.
- Check the box to acknowledge that you have read and accepted the Terms
of Use.

To cancel the SpinVox service:
- Sign in to your account and click the Voicemail tab.
- Below Voicemail alert options, uncheck the SpinVox box. You can switch to text alerts or email alerts instead – just click the links.
If a voicemail exceeds a single text in length, we will deliver the message as a series of consecutive text messages, limited to a total of three. If you see ‘…’ at the end of a message it means there is more to the original message – sign in to Skype to listen to the full message.
If you see spaces or question marks in your message, it means that SpinVox could not correctly identify a word (‘_’) or has spelt a word phonetically (‘?’).
Sometimes SpinVox can’t convert a voice message to the minimum standard due to background noise or poor signal quality. If this happens, you’ll be notified about the unconverted message by text. We still charge for unconverted messages because we are required to process them – it’s not possible for us to determine in advance whether the message is unconvertible. However, we do filter out recordings that are too short to contain a message.
*Only voicemails in English, French, German and Spanish will be converted to text.
