When you buy an Online Number, you can choose whether you want it for 3 months or for a year. You will need to either extend your Online Number before this period comes to an end or, if it expires, reactivate it.

To extend your Online Number:

You can extend your Online Number at any time while your Online Number is still active and you can choose whether you’d like to add an extra 3 months or an extra year. If your Online Number expires, Skype will be reserve it for you on your account for 90 days. This means no one else but you can purchase this particular number during this period. You can renew your Online Number from your account.
