If you think there has been an unauthorized Skype charge on your credit or debit card, it is most likely for one of the following reasons.
The charge is a recurring payment
If you have previously purchased Skype Credit, you may
have Auto-recharge set up on your account. Auto-recharge
automatically tops up your Skype Credit when it falls below
a certain amount, to ensure you never run out of Skype Credit.
If you no longer wish to top up your Skype Credit, you
can cancel Auto-recharge.

is renewed automatically at the end of the initial period,
and the recurring payment is made with the payment method
you used to sign up. To stop the recurring payments, you
need to cancel your subscription.
The charge is a credit card authorization
When you sign up for a free trial, you may see a pending
transaction of €1, ¡ê1, or $1 on your bank statement. Don't
worry, you won't need to pay this amount.
