The easiest way to find out your Skype Name is to ask someone who has you in their Skype contact list to tell you what it is.
Ask them to sign in to Skype, search for you in their Contacts list and right-click on your name. If they click View Profile your Skype Name will be shown.
Otherwise, follow these steps:
- Go to the sign-in page.
- Click Forgotten your Skype Name?
- Enter the registered email address associated with your Skype account. This is the email address you used when you first created your Skype account.
- Click Get Skype Name.
- Check your email inbox for an email from Skype entitled Your Skype Name token. If you cannot find it, remember to check your junk or spam folders. The email can take up to 30 minutes to reach you and it must be used within six hours.
- Open the email and click the temporary code link.
If the temporary code link does not work, then try the second link entitled Skype Name recovery page. This takes you to a screen where you manually enter the temporary code contained in the email (this will be a combination of numbers and letters). Cut and paste this temporary code into the box (make sure you do not include any spaces at the end) and click Submit.
- All of the Skype Names associated with that email address are displayed. You can then sign in or change your password.
