A mood message is a simple little message you add to your profile to let your friends know what you’re up to or what mood you’re in. It could be a witty comment, quote, a web link, video or any random piece of information you'd like everyone to see.

Adding a message or link to your mood
- Sign in to Skype.
- In the menu bar, click Skype > Profile > Edit Your Profile.
- Click next to Mood, and in the field that appears, type your new mood message, or type/copy and paste a web link.
- Click the tick icon. Your contacts can now see your mood message, or click the link you provided.
Adding a video to your mood
To add videos from our partner websites to your mood:
- Sign in to Skype.
- In the menu bar, click Skype > Profile > Add video to your mood….
- Select the tab for the host you’d like to search – either Dailymotion or Metacafe
- Type the name or the subject of the video you want into the search field and click Search, or browse the categories provided.
- Click on a video to select it, and then click Save mood message. The video is added to your mood.
If you would like to display a personal video in your mood, you will first need to upload it to Dailymotion or Metacafe, and then follow the instructions above to add the video to your mood. Remember, to find your video you’ll have to select the tab of the hosting site that you uploaded your video to.
