Before making a test call, ensure you have the
equipment you need to use Skype.
To make a test call:
- Plug in your speakers and microphone (if they are not built-in to your computer).
- Sign in to Skype.

In your Contacts list, select Skype Test Call. It may also be called Echo / Sound Test Service or Skype Test Call (echo123).
If you can't find Skype Test Call, search for it by typing "echo" in the search box.
- In the calling pane, click Call.
- Follow the instructions you will hear.
If you cannot hear any sound at all, follow these instructions.
If you can hear the test call but cannot hear your recorded message played back, follow these instructions.
