Sending an instant message

If they are offline on Facebook and they are also a Skype
contact you can instant message them
Skype-to-Skype instead. If your friend uses a different

already a Skype contact, you can search for them and add
them on Skype.
- Type a message in the conversation box and then press Enter.
When you instant message a Facebook friend, they will not be able to tell if you are on Skype or Facebook, as the instant message will appear in Facebook Chat.
The Facebook contact will then appear in your Recent list along with your other recent conversations. If you have spoken to a friend Skype-to-Skype and Skype-to-Facebook, their name may appear twice in the Recent list. Note: You can't send files, send contacts, or share your screen with Facebook friends.
